Digital Product Passports

Publish the product record your team has reviewed

A passport connects accepted product information to a stable public address. Passvanta keeps the published revision, the evidence behind it and the publication decision traceable.

From reviewed fields to a public passport

For teams that need to share product information outside their organisation while controlling the data released and the lifecycle of the passport.

Prepare the approved product data

Collect values, resolve the required reviews and check blocking issues in the product workspace. Publication works from approved values and checks the assigned pack's publication requirements.

Publish through an authorised action

A permitted user explicitly publishes the passport. The platform records a revision snapshot and checksum, and assigns a persistent identifier that remains stable across later revisions.

Serve the appropriate public view

The resolver provides a mobile-friendly page and a structured JSON representation. Fields classified as restricted are excluded from the public response, even when the organisation holds them internally.

Manage the record after publication

Suspend, resume or supersede a passport through controlled lifecycle actions. Export the structured passport together with data provenance and an evidence manifest for downstream work.

A published revision stays identifiable

Immutable snapshots preserve the content of each published revision.

The persistent identifier stays stable while the passport moves through its lifecycle.

Suspended and superseded passports stop serving their product data publicly.

Publication and legal assessment are separate decisions

Publishing makes the approved data available through Passvanta. It does not certify the product, establish that an incomplete preparation pack covers all legal requirements, or register the passport with an external authority. The applicable scope and formal obligations need their own assessment.

FAQ

Questions about passport publication

Will a revised passport need a new QR address?

The passport's persistent identifier remains stable across revisions. A carrier pointing to that resolver address can continue to resolve the current published record.

Are confidential values included in public JSON?

The public payload excludes fields classified as restricted. A structured response follows the same public access boundary as the human-readable resolver page.

What is included in an export?

The product export contains the structured passport payload, data-point provenance and an evidence manifest with document digests. It gives downstream teams the recorded context needed to inspect the exported data.

Continue through the product workflow

Compliance Engine

Bring requirements, source documents and review decisions into one product workspace. Every missing value or unresolved evidence requirement has a place in the preparation workflow.

Data Carrier Studio

Prepare QR carriers from a passport's stable resolver address, choose an explicit print profile and retain a record of what was generated. The digital symbol and the physical print each have their own checks.

EU Registry Workflow

Passvanta provides the workflow controls for registration attempts, retries and reconciliation. Official registry integration still requires the applicable interface, credentials and acceptance testing before production use.
