Prepare the published record
The registry workflow starts from a published passport with a persistent identifier and revision. Its registration record remains distinct from the local passport and from the identifier printed on a carrier.
EU Registry Workflow
Passvanta provides the workflow controls for registration attempts, retries and reconciliation. Official registry integration still requires the applicable interface, credentials and acceptance testing before production use.
For compliance and integration teams planning how a published passport will be submitted to an external registry when the official connection is ready.
The registry workflow starts from a published passport with a persistent identifier and revision. Its registration record remains distinct from the local passport and from the identifier printed on a carrier.
The adapter validates the submission before a registration request. Test and production environments are configured separately; access to the registration action requires the organisation's registry permission.
Record the environment, status, request fingerprint and response metadata. The same successfully registered passport revision can be recognised on a repeated request, avoiding a duplicate local registration.
Failed attempts follow a retry window. Reconciliation uses the configured adapter to compare recorded registrations with external responses and distinguishes matching, differing and unverified results.
Registration is initiated explicitly by an authorised organisation user.
Local publication and external registration keep separate records and statuses.
Production blocks registration when the official connection is not fully configured.
The implemented adapter is a technical preparation. Its request and response mapping must be checked against the official interface, and real test access and acceptance are still outstanding. Passvanta does not currently claim an accepted production EU registry connection or official registration on your behalf.
FAQ
No. Publication exposes the reviewed passport through its resolver. Registration is a separate authorised action against a configured registry connection.
Production refuses registry operations when the official connection is not configured. It does not substitute a simulated registration. Product preparation and local passport publication remain separate workflows.
The integration needs the official interface mapping, dedicated test access, a successful acceptance run and production configuration. The actual operational and legal requirements must be checked for that connection.
A passport connects accepted product information to a stable public address. Passvanta keeps the published revision, the evidence behind it and the publication decision traceable.
Digital Product Passports →Bring requirements, source documents and review decisions into one product workspace. Every missing value or unresolved evidence requirement has a place in the preparation workflow.
Compliance Engine →Use Passvanta's versioned REST API to connect product operations with your existing systems. Organisation scopes, review requirements and publication gates remain part of the integration.
Product Passport API →Discuss the required interface, access and acceptance steps alongside your product and passport workflow.
