How prepared is your product data?

Choose a category and assess nine practical preparation steps. See what is available, what is missing and what needs clarification before you start your Digital Product Passport.

01
Define the product you are assessing

Assess one battery model with an identified configuration, chemistry and performance data. This check does not determine its battery-passport obligation or required data scope.

02

Assess your preparation

Use one product or model throughout. Select “Available” only when the complete description applies to your current product.

01Unambiguous product identity

The product name, internal item or model number and assessed variant are documented. Data and documents can be linked to this product. An internal number is a starting point here; its suitability as a DPP identifier is not assessed.

04Materials and components

05Retrievable source documents

Datasheets and other existing evidence can be retrieved and linked to the product. Issuer, date, version and scope are identifiable. Check that the sources match the current product variant.

06Review before approval

An established review step compares data against its sources, resolves contradictions and records a responsible person's decision. Automatically extracted data is included in this review.

07Access and confidentiality

Intended public and restricted information is distinguished, and editing permissions are assigned. Personal data and trade secrets are reviewed before release. Statutory access rights require a separate check.

08Versions and updates

Changes to product data and evidence are recorded with a date and responsible person. Previous versions remain traceable. A defined process sends supplier updates and product changes back for review.

09Structured data exchange

The collected data can be exported with stable field names, product references and units in a structured format such as CSV or JSON. A trial export has been checked for completeness. This does not confirm an official submission format.

About this readiness check

Is the DPP readiness check free?

Yes. You can answer the questions and see the score and gaps without an account. A verified free account gives you the full action report.

Do I need to upload a datasheet?

No. This check uses your answers about the availability of product data, sources and processes. Keep your documents to hand when answering. Document extraction and evidence review are available in the product workspace.

Does the result confirm compliance?

No. It measures nine practical preparation steps, not every legal requirement. Applicable rules, product scope and evidence must be assessed separately.
